Home Movies

We are not the greatest about capturing moments on video, but here are a few (taken in November) that make me laugh.

Silly little girl...

Just some cute recent shots. Addison has gotten more and more cooperative and interested in having her picture taken. She still loves to run over, sometimes before I even get a shot off, to check out her image on the camera display.

A cute little outfit (with a Dachshund on it) from her Great-grandparents

Addison surprised us one night at Target by loudly requesting an Icee while we were in the check out line. The mere sight of that Target bullseye - in the parking lot, on a shoping bag, you name it - triggers an Icee request (demand). And no, I did NOT let her drink that whole thing. As I too am a huge fan of the Icee, I had most of it.

Addison loves playing in her kitchen. Here she's dressed in her chef's ensemble. Lately, she has re-named the arpon 'beautiful dress'... The no pants was due to potty-training ease.

Thanksgiving

We were home for Thanksgiving this year. We had a very nice weekend. Celebrated Thanksgiving with the Kneepkens... Lots of yummy food and great family memories.

Big Girl Happenings...

Addison has moved onto some officially big-girl activities. Most notably, potty training (we have been 'nearly' accident free for a few weeks now) and trying out her new PINK room and big girl bed.

On the potty...
When first leaning, she would yell out with pride, "I DOING IT". She's fast becoming an old pro at the potty - amazing!

Big Girl Room...
Here's her new room. When Matt was painting it, she would run around proclaiming 'I LUF THIS ROOM, I LUF THIS PINKS'. So far we have it painted and have the new furniture and bedding ready to go, but I need to do a lot of work on the decor - pretty blank so far.

She hasn't officially moved in, but has tested out the bed and taken a few naps. We're not sure if she really understands the room is hers, for more than play. Hopefully she gets it soon... we don't want to have to kick her out of the nursery. Good thing we have a few more months to figure it out before her old room gets a new occupant.

Belly shot

here it is... this was at about the 6th month mark. I may not post another one of these as I feel I am expanding exponentially lately. I am feeling much better than the first 4 months, and everything looks good with the baby... I am now officially in the third trimester - yikes!

Fun with Aunties

Auntie Katie and Auntie Angie helped Addison make Thanksgiving cookies - cut-outs of her hand, decorated to look like a turkey. Pretty Cute...

She enjoyed rolling out the dough, flouring the rolling pin and cutting out the shapes...

For the decorating part, Addison just licked the frosting off the cookies.

Haloween fun

We walked to the farm stand near our house to see the animals, ride the tractor and pick out pumpkins when Grandpa and Grandma Ansley visited. It was mighty cold and muddy, but we all found a pumpkin that suited us.

Last year for trick-or-treating, we made it to about 3 other houses on our cul du sac. This year, Addison got her first real taste of the Halloween experience.

We trick-or-treated with friends in Tosa. At the first house, she cried (I think she got scared that we might be dropping her off). In the middle, she seemed distracted by all the commotion, but was slowly catching on to the concept. By the end, she was telling us, 'next house', 'trick-or-treat', 'candy my bucket'. She was interested in inspecting the candy she was given, but ultimately agreed to wait until we were home to try opening and eating it. She walked almost the entire time, for several blocks. Then we had a little dance party and even her friend Drew donned a dress for the occasion. All of this on a day where she refused to nap - what a trooper.

We also went to a costume themed first b-day party for her friend Maddy. Here she is with her friends, all playing with cell phones for entertainment.

Randoms

Not much picture taking in September; so here are just a few random shots...

Birthday Extravaganzas

We had a birthday party to go to every Saturday in August, and one Saturday we had 2 on the same day. I think Addison thought that bouncy houses and cake were to be a permanent fixture in her weekend activities.

We also celebrated Addison's second birthday in August with with just her Kneepkens family, and again in September with family and friends.

Here's her first little party.
