Martha's Vineyard
We made our annual pilgrimage to Martha's Vineyard at the end of July. We were extremely spoiled... had Matt's parents and grandparents all to ourselves. Addison was a good traveler. We fly to Boston, take a car service to Cape Cod then a ferry boat to the Vineyard. There were some airport delays, but all in all, we survived.
Our vacation was perfect. Lots of beach days, lots of free time and great memories made with family.

Taylor & Katherine's Colorado wedding - July 11, 2009
In July we traveled to Pagosa Springs, Colorado to attend Matt's youngest brother, Taylor's wedding. All the Ansley/Ashmun family came together for the event, and it was wonderful. We arrived on Thursday and stayed until Sunday. It is such a beautiful part of the country. The bride and the wedding were both lovely. Matt was a groomsman and Addison was a flower girl. She wore her dress (which thanks to Uncle Zach's mom fit her perfectly after some much needed alterations) and looked absolutely adorable... but, she never made it down the isle. Oh well, she danced the night away at the reception, and after being practically unable to stand from partying exhaustion, we took her home at 10:00!
Here's the catch; while chasing around and/or holding my 23-month old, I rarely had a camera in my hands. In fact, I do not have ONE picture of the bride or the groom on my camera. There were great professional pictures taken and I'm hoping other family members send along some of their pictures so I can update this post and my photo albums. What can I say? Live and learn.
Here we are headed to the rehearsal - Matt's grandparents are in front.

Yankee Doodle and a potty too
Here's a few shots of Addison in her 4th of July outfit from Grandma K. She has started posing with her hands on her hips and saying "cute" for the camera... What a ham.
We got a little potty so Addison can start warming up to the idea. No rush, but she is at that age where she is very interested in what happens in the bathroom; mostly in unraveling the toilet paper, flusing the toilet repeatedly, and washing her hands in the sink. After things were a little too quiet one day, I went looking for her and here is how I found her...
